Fans of Ayyappanum Koshiyum can’t go into Bheemla Nayak expecting a remake that stays true to the original in ways that matter. But at the end of it all, this is definitely a film that will entertain, irrespective of whether you’re Pawan and Rana’s fan or not.

‘Bheemla Nayak’ is a commercial potboiler that retains the essence of its original to an extent. The changes made are worked in favor of this film, and fans will go berserk with Pawan Kalyan’s eccentric characterization throughout many scenes. Pawan Kalyan and Rana’s pairing has elevated this clash of the ego-themed movie with their brilliant performances. Overall, Bheemlaa Nayak is a winner !!

Son of India ends up as a vain, indulgent exercise that made me wonder what the film’s team was thinking., if they were thinking at all. ?The mission is apparently incomplete and there is more to come. The hint at a sequel sounded like a punishment.

Having said that, Bheemla Nayak is a well made remake of Ayyappanum Koshiyum with some improvisations made to fit well here. It is perfect feast to masses and fans, with thrilling episodes of ego battle between two equally powerful men in their own worlds. Bheemla Nayak will be scoring big at box office and it has to be seen how the family audiences receive it.
