On the whole, Deadpool & Wolverine is a hit fare as it entertains excellently. Besides, the brand value will also contribute to the initial business. Its original English version will also fare tremendously well, probably better than the dubbed Hindi version. Publicity: excellent. Opening: extraordinary.

Whether you’re a fan or not, ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ keeps you engaged with its constant stream of action and humor. It helps to be familiar with the legacy characters and storyline (as messy and complicated as it may be) to fully appreciate the experience, especially when watching it with an enthusiastic audience. ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ breaks barriers and goes where other MCU films haven’t, capturing nostalgia, humour, and most importantly, delivering oodles of entertainment. This is exactly what the franchise needs to stay relevant and enjoyable.

Deadpool & Wolverine has a problem. It so doesn’t want to be taken seriously, but it puts all its money, muscle and, because it’s Deadpool, into ensuring that you damn well do. Hence all the many, many asides at the Fox and Disney deal that made this all possible (really, who cares this much?), hence the meta Marvel references, hence the self-mocking tone, hence the gag about metaverse, and hence the full-on embrace of one, etc etc, even as our guys “save the universe

The film sails smoothly with several laugh-out-loud moments and fan service which is on full display. The endless cameos involving YOUR favourites will make you scream in excitement. Also, watch out for the post-credits scene because it really is EPIC! There is so much to ‘marvel’ at [pun intended] in ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ and, for a change, Marvel is in no rush to tell us what the next chapter beholds!

Undoubtedly, the camaraderie between Deadpool & Wolverine is the biggest highlight of the movie, which is a treat for all MCU fans. Talking about performances, Ryan and Hugh are X factors of this movie with crisp work by Morena Baccarin and Matthew Macfadyen. However, ultimately it is Deadpool & Wolverine show.

A longer duration could have worked to focus more on building a strong antagonist curve. After a point, the humour dries up and the climax seems too convenient. Despite being visually rich, the end appears rushed. Nonetheless, Marvel fans are surely in for a joy ride.

Deadpool & Wolverine feels like something that could have come out of Marvel during their golden age, and if we are lucky and the film is successful enough, it will probably serve as a blueprint on what to do in future installments. Now that we know that the Russo Brothers are coming back as directors for the next two Avengers films, it could mean that the road to fix Marvel is already on its way, and let’s just hope that the lessons stick.
