On the whole, Mastiii 4 is not as entertaining as expected. It is too vulgar and not at all subtle. Therefore, it will appeal to a section of the masses, but the family audience, women and classes will find the experience quite unpalatable. Losing.

Some franchises mature gracefully with time. Unfortunately, the ‘Masti’ series isn’t one of them. It now feels more like stale soda left at the bottom of a plastic cup after the party has ended. This one fizzles out spectacularly. Towards the end, the fans would be in for an expected surprise, which the makers seriously need to reflect on whether it’s needed or not.

Mastiii 4 feels stretched and the gags keep on coming, but don’t always land in the way they should. Maybe with a little more effort and focus on writing, the movie could’ve found a punch like the Golmaal movies. But sadly, that doesn’t happen here. Instead we get a modern sex comedy that looks slick in its visuals and production value but doesn’t have the bold and brazen content to satisfy genre fans.

Because why bother with subtlety when you can just throw in total chaos instead? And honestly, subtlety would have looked confused in this universe anyway. At the end of the day, the film isn’t pretending to be clever—it just wants to make you laugh in the loudest way possible.Whether that works for you depends entirely on your tolerance level. But if you’ve survived the earlier films, this one won’t scare you off.

Milap Milan Zaveri is now growing to be the Czar of what is considered vintage mainstream Hindi entertainers of varied hues (Satyameva Jayate, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, and the writer of the first two Masti films). He makes a great attempt at deliberately sidelining the highbrows and critics and does it with a judicious mix of imagination and audacity.From what is written above, it is clear that you have to watch the film to enjoy, not minding some cringe on the fringe. Intellectuals may stay away, please!

Despite its appealing cast and cameo appearances from Arshad Warsi, Nargis Fakhri, Genelia D’Souza, and Tusshar Kapoor, the film fails to make an impact. The humor relies heavily on crude jokes, innuendos, and punchlines that come off as stale and contrived. Many of the jokes are less entertaining than recycled WhatsApp messages, and the overabundance of vulgarity detracts from any potential enjoyment. Verdict: This comedic film is neither amusing nor engaging.
