Along with Himmat’s quest to become the best RAW agent, the core of the drama is a cat-and-mouse game between Maninder and Himmat and his squad, majorly Vijay (Aftab Shivdasani). So far, the cliffhanger ending of this part indicates that Neeraj Pandey is creating a Special Ops universe with more stories to be discovered. That being said, you must also watch this espionage thriller if you want to be a part of this universe.

While the first season got the story together only by the third or fourth episode, the story of the second progresses coherently. But one thing that still leaves you amazed is how conveniently and remarkably Kay Kay Menon transitions back and forth from old to young Himmat. Kay Kay is a kind of actor who never ceases to surprise and you enjoy the whole time he’s on screen. In conclusion, it can be said that the first episode of Season 2 is more interesting than its predecessor.

A crucial part of Special Ops 1.5 seeks to clear the air on several turning points of his life: the creation of his family, an ill-fated romance, his deep bonding with former college mate and fellow secret agent Vijay Kumar (Aftab Shivdasani) and a personal tragedy that shakes the otherwise stoic man to the core.To be deemed a success, all that Special Ops 1.5 had to be was half as decent as its precursor. It is much more. It hits the ground running and works up enough excitement and intrigue to justify its existence.

Neeraj Pandey is a well-aware creator and knows the formula to grab the audience. With Special Ops 1.5 he proves the show he created was a one-trick pony, but a well-layered universe that has the capability to branch out into several storylines. Kay Kay Menon adds panache to Pandey’s source material and makes it gold.We recommend you one more nail-biting suspense thriller.

Good questions. It’s always nice to know the backstories of our heroes, especially those who inhabit hot seats, push buttons, and save the world. Except this sequel or prequel or whatever it wants to call itself is never as interesting as its protagonist, falling tiredly into the been-there-seen-it trap at every step.
