Alludu Seenu Telugu Movie Review
Ratings:2.5/5 Review By: Hemanth Kumar Site:Times Of India (TOI)
One of the basic problems associated with the film is, except for Prakash Raj and Brahmanandam, no other actor exhibits a sense of belongingness to the milieu the story is set in. As a result, there’s no crackling chemistry between the lead actors, except in the songs. It’s equally tragic that no one stands out in the end. That’s not to say that Alludu Seenu is a bad film. There’s a term which is often used to describe films like Alludu Seenu in one word – ‘package’. It has a little bit of everything, although the sum of these bits isn’t necessarily fulfilling in the end.

Alludu Seenu is a formula-driven script that caters to all sections of audiences and it corporates all kinds of emotions. VV Vinayak brand value and Bellamkonda Suresh’s publicity for this film are the main reason for good openings for the movie. The plus points of the film are casting, songs, cinematography and production values. On the flip side, a more contemporary treatment and narration would have made it a better film. Brahmanandam’s comedy worked towards end. Vinayak is known for connecting with masses with his content. We have the wait and see how Alludu Seenu connects with masses with it’s time-tested, yet minimum guarantee content!

Director VV Vinayak put in all the elements expected from a mass, commercial entertainer. Naturally, one expects a film on the lines of Adhurs. Despite some punch lines and a couple of satires, he failed in making an entertainer that will keep you glued to the seats. So, the audience neither gets an all out entertainer like Adhurs nor a message-oriented, hard-hitting film like Tagore. If one looks at it, the film has all the elements that a commercial film must have – a lost and found father-daughter story, twin brothers, poor hero and a rich heroine, two villains, action and songs. Still, VV Vinayak disappoints by not making a gripping entertainer which will make you leave the theatre with a smile. Bottomline: Lacks the Punch!

Alludu Seenu has good songs and a couple of good comedy scenes in the second half. It is an average entertainer with absolutely nothing novel to offer. This film is strictly not for audience who look for variety. It is a formulaic mass entertainer that will have to bank heavily on the brand name of Vinayak and other commercial elements to click at the box office.Verdict: Grand Debut with a Bland Script!

On the whole, Alludu Seenu is a tailor made launch pad for Bellamkonda Sreenivas. He makes an impressive debut and enthralls everyone with his dances and fights. Samantha’s glamour, V V Vinayak’s routine but entertaining commercial aspects, and Brahmi’s hilarious comedy makes this film a wholesome entertainer.
