I have seen 3 idiots movie and I remember it pretty well . When that movie is made in Tamil, then dubbed in Telugu, there are so many constraints. We watch Tamil movies for fresh treatment and innovative concepts. All one can look at when we watch Snehitudu is whether Shankar has succeeded in making it right for the local audiences. If you havent watched 3 Idiots movies, Snehitudu could be interesting. If you have already watched 3 Idiots, you definitely expect much more than just true translation from a director of Shankars caliber. The magic of 3 Idiots is missing.

The film is a direct lift and shift from 3 Idiots. The creativity of Shankar wasnt seen anywhere except in canning the songs. The film appeals for those who havent watched 3 Idiots and for the rest it will be a below average one. And for those who respect Shankar as independent film maker, it will be a blow to see a point to point copy- paste activity.First half of the film goes in hilarious tone with full of college episodes and even the second half carries the same. Though the length of the film is almost close to 2:50 Mins, it will not bring any sort of boredom. Its a film with proven script in Hindi and now its proven again in Telugu as well.

Snehithudu is a film that runs on a strong screenplay. The film has many shades – comedy, tragedy, emotions, sentiment, duets and other things. The film goes back and forth as it is told mostly in flashback style. The music is okay. The production values are good. The overall impact is positive. Director Shankar stays faithful to the original 3 Idiots. Therefore for those who have watched the Hindi film, there is nothing new or novel in the Telugu film. For others the film with its neat presentation is a good time pass entertainer with a little underlying message for parents as well as children

Snehitudu is a message oriented entertainer with great script value. Mass audience may not connect with the concept and proceedings and most of the city audience have already seen the original. So the success of this film will depend on how the others lap this up. As a film, Snehitudu is neatly made feel good entertainer. We have to wait for the commercial outcome of it.
