Shorgul starring Jimmy Shergill and Ashutosh Rana had a poor opening of around 3% at multiplex and went on to collect 40 Lakhs
Shorgul was completely beaten by hollywood’s Legend of Tarzan starring Alexander Skarsgård which had an average opening of 10% and went on to collect 2 Crore at box office.
Legend of Tarzan is pretty much an under performer as per the expectations this movie had because of similarity with Jungle Book
Both the movies only have a 5 day run untill Sultan releases and are just fillers for exhibitors.
Legend of tarzan is pretty much a flop at US Box Office also so it was highly unlikely that it could have worked here but the distributors and exhibitors bouyed by jungle book have ensured that they will lose a helathy amount in India also.

Approx 600 screens Pan India were available for Shorgul which is pretty high for this type of movie thanks to all underperforming movies
