On Monday Tamasha saw a 50% drop in its collections which is decent and is an expected drop.

It however still remains to be seen how far will Tamasha go from here and what will be its trending on the weekdays.

Good point for Tamasha is that drop is a standard drop and it has some competition in its second week with Hate Story 3 but no competition in its week 3 which can help ensure a longer run.

Mass areas continue to not support the movie but multiplexes across top cities both tier 1 and tier 2 continue to see good crowds for the movie.

However it looks likely that it will end up with similar numbers as rockstar or Piku and doesn’t look likely to have legs to hit 100 crore but that will be more clear with the weekday trend

Producers have already thrown a success party for tamasha but it still has a long way to go to be called a success.

Total: 75 Crores

Tamasha has a Production Budget of 60 Crores and prints and advertising budget of 15 Crores

Tamasha was sold by Producer Sajid Nadiadwala to UTV as part of a 3 picture deal also containing Phantom and Tiger Shroff’s next Baaghi. The total deal was rumoured to be valued at approximately 200 crores minimum guarantee.

Tamasha was expected to be major gainer for UTV in the deal.
