Lingaa has opened to huge numbers in US
From 118 screens in USA Lingaa has opened to $404,566 (Tamil + Telugu ) or Rs 2.52 crores in Thursday premieres.
Lingaa ended as number 6th in USA on Thursday
With shows starting at 3 am Lingaa has opened to huge Rajini Mania in Tamil Nadu.
The telugu versions of Lingaa has also opened very well.

The Record for highest opening for a Tamil movie lies with Kaththi which had a gross of Rs 23.8 crore worldwide with India contributing 16.45 crores gross (producer figures)
It remains to be seen if Lingaa can beat that.
Rajini’s last movie Kochadaiyaan was a big money loser and Lingaa is expected to cover that.
