Bhootnath had a solid growth on Saturday and Sunday with family audiences embracing the movie wholeheartedly.
Movie ran completely on word of mouth and unlike earlier Bhootnath it is made on a higher budget.
2 States releasing on next friday can be a big competitor and only good weekdays can ensure that it has enough screens next friday.
This growth was expected by trade and movie had a good weekend but its strength will be tested in weekdays.
Comparative First Day:
Bhootnath: 2.45 Crore
Paa: 2.12 Crore
Bbduah Hoga Tera baap: 1.91 Crore
Earlier:
Bhootnath Returns started on a poor note but improved a bit in the evening.
Distributors are however confident that business will pick over the weekend as they believe that reports and word of mouth of the movie is good
It is targeted at family audiences and they will give it a boost over the weekend but a low starting point will hurt the movie.
Trade believes that the movie is weak because it doesn’t have a connect with youth.
Single screens opening was awful and movie is running purely on multiplexes
