Laxmii opened to bad reviews by critics but released directly on Hotstar and was estimated to be sold to Hotstar for 150 Crores giving a clear profit of 40 Crores to producers before satellite rights and taking into account Akshay Kumar’s share of profits. Do Note that the Producers Fox Star Studios and Disney Plus Hot Star and satellite rights holder Star Gold are related companies so technically all of this would be table profits

If Laxmii aka Laxmi Bomb  had released normally on movie screens considering the negativity by critics and the poor trailer it would have struggled badly at the box office

Disney Plus Hotstar also saw 9 Lakh new Subscribers signing up just for Laxmi.  It is estimated that it has 11 Million or 1.1 Crore paid Subscribers in India and 300 million total subscribers . At this rate it is expected that 80 Lakhs or 8 Million viewers should watch this movie on Disney Plus Hotstar which should be below par as per the cost paid  Hotstar.  Just for reference Mirzapur Season 2 had 16 Million views (1.6 Crore) on Amazon prime in a week.
