Interstellar is off to a very good start at Indian Box Office and looks set to  have a million dollar + gross in its first weekend

Interstellar was very good at multiplexes in Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore Delhi / NCR and Mumbai, Kolkotta and was the first choice at these centers and was well ahead of Shaukeens.

Outside of metros Interstellar didn’t do too well.

In India Dark Knight Rises had a lifetime gross of $9 Million ( $9,223,966) or Rs 55 Crores and  Gravity had a gross of $6 Million ($6,186,250) or Rs 37 Crore.

In Chennai and Hyderabad inception was number 1 choice

Interstellar was second at Indian Box Office this Friday behind only Shaukeens  and was ahead of Happy New Year and Rang Rasiya.

In USA Interstellar was headed for a $50 Million  + weekend
