Race Gurram Telugu Movie Review

In many ways Race Gurram is an extension of Julayi. A happier extension if you may call it one. It’s just that the bank heist bit is replaced by some mushy brother sentiment and the comedy track – read as Brahmanandam’s histrionics – worked out way better resulting in a much more paisa vasool watching experience…second half rather. While entire first half is just about passable things perk up in the second half primarily due to Brahmanandam’s chutzpah. All in all it’s the ideal Tollywood masala package loaded with the right doses of entertainment, brotherly love, and Brahmanandam. You can’t ask for more can you?

Initial half of the first half is entertaining. Interval fight is pretty heavy. Second half is neatly done. The last 20 minutes of the film which features Brahmanandam gives a high. Plus points of the movie are Allu Arjun, Brahmanandam, Cinematography, second half screenplay, all round orientation and production values. On the flip side, eccentric villain characterization and uneven tempo of the film should have been taken care of. On a whole, Race Gurram with it’s allround commercial elements should do well at box office! And watch out for Brahmi as ‘kill bill pandey’!

Surender Reddy has moulded Race Gurram on the lines of a Bollywood entertainer. But to cater to the Telugu audience, he tried to throw in a villain, a small love story and some family sentiments to complete the mix. In the process, the film lacks pace at some places, but the pace picks up during the climax and Brahmanandam’s entry turns out to be a trump card for Race Gurram. In all, for those looking out for a summer entertainer, Race Gurram is the perfect movie

Race Gurram, for all the powerful imagery it stands for, is not an all-out Allu Arjun film. Although his heroism is enough to captivate the young audience, it’s more the very many characters and brother-brother conflict that keep the proceedings interesting. Verdict: Race Gurram is watchable for the little doses of heroism, bromance, and comedy.

‘Race Gurram’ is a paisa vasool entertainer that makes you feel good when you walk out of the theatre. Brahmanandam, Ali, Posani and M.S.Narayana will make sure that you have a good time. Allu Arjun has improved tremendously as an actor and this movie is going to be one of his best commercial hits.

The story of Race Gurram lacks freshness and is somewhat similar to plot of flop Telugu movie Tadakha. But Surender Reddy has included some of very interesting twist and turns in the narration that makes the film an interesting watch. . In bid to woo the mass audience. The director has nicely blended all commercial elements like romance, sentiment, action, comedy, glamour and trendy music. Overall, Race Gurram has excellent performances by lead actors, engrossing narration and rich production values, but lacks a fresh plot. It is a good family entertainer that will also impress the mass audience. It is a must watch movie for Bunny and Surender fans.

In RACE GURRAM… As usual Surender reddy director of Race Gurram includes a full length comedy with Allu Arjun and he is also heading towards some daredevil stunts in this film which he did not try before. After Shadow and 1-Nenokkadine Racegurram is the only movie to have a special sound system and Allu arjun is gaining all hopes on it.
