Srimannarayana Telugu Movie Review

Ratings:3/5 Reviewer:Jeevi Site:Idlebrain

First half of the film is okay. Interval bang is interesting. The strategies and screenplay should have been more effective in the second half. The plus points are the performance of Bala Krishna. On the flip side, the technical aspects and screenplay should have been better. On a whole, Srimannarayana is a difference mass film aimed as masses. We have to wait and see how masses take it.

Radhika Rajamani feels that Srimannarayana’s film subject is good but director Ravi Kumar Chavali has not paid enough attention to its execution. For the Telugu film Srimannarayana, he chooses the issue of scams, and the plight of farmers and weaves a story for the fight for justice by the lead protagonist. As usual, he mixes this with popular ingredients such as songs, dances and action. This results in an absence of logic in quite a few places. The songs and dances are often a distraction. It’s a Balakrishna film and he does justice to his role

The film takes off with a little promise but after fifteen minutes the energy comes down. The interval bang was met with mixed reactions and second half had a little tempo. But again, the whole thing got predictable and due to the lack of a strong plot, everything looked flimsy.Overall, this is a film which doesn’t have much for Nandamuri fans or the regular audience. The rating is purely out of respect for Balayya’s image and his sincerity in his performances.Bottomline: You can chant the name of ‘Narayana’ than watching this one

Balakrishna looks handsome and delivers a power-packed performance. He dances with ease and also performs the action sequences very well. The songs of the movie are entertaining and have been shot in beautiful locations. Both the heroines Isha Chawla and Parvati Melton fill the glamour slot effectively though there is not much scope for them to perform. Suresh puts in a powerful performance as a villain in the film and other artistes too have done justice to their roles. The screenplay is very tight and the director does not lose his grip on the story at any point.Watch the film with no expectations and you won’t be disappointed.

There are interesting twists to the story as Srimannarayana is shown making full use of the latest technology right from the beginning of the movie. Don’t complain about his costumes. They are loud. The movie is not uninteresting, though it is predictable. Balakrishna’s fans may not have any complaints against the movie, but the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has been shown in bad light – as an inefficient agency, which works for the party in power.

Srimannarayana is a commercial film made with noble intentions. This film shows a solution to the farmers welfare. Despite the intention, Srimannarayana fails to entertain due to lackluster screenplay and poor writing.Movie starts off at a sluggish pace and moves ahead without proper aim and direction. Everything settles after an hour into the movie. From then on it is about the revenge drama. Hero will never be challenged by any of the cardboard villains.Srimannarayana fails to impress due to bad script. Balakrishna fans may like it.
