Half Girlfriend opening is 5th highest of 2017 after Baahubali 2 Raees , Badrinath Ki Dulhania and Jolly LLB 2 while being higher than Kaabil.
Half Girlfriend had a good opening despite a clash with Hindi medium which struggled but still had 1100 screens and Baahubali 2 which is still strong.
For Arjun Kapoor opening is much better than Ki and Ka and Tevar while for Shraddha Kapoor opening is better than that of Rock On 2 and Ok Jaanu.
Reviews of Half Girlfriend are not good which has affected opening in metros but still it has done much better than Hindi Medium.
