6.62 Crore Producer Figure
Total till date:
13.24 Crore Trade Figure
13.47 Crore Producer Figure
6.72 Crore Trade Figure
6.85 Crore Producer Figure
Budget: 28 Crores
Thursday + Friday $350,000 or Rs 2.32 Crores which is a decent number for a new comer movie but in USA Hero is currently dull.
On Saturday Hero was 3% lower than that on Friday.
On Saturday Hero was pretty much at the same levels as on Friday and the movie is struggling majorly in North India multiplexes of Delhi and Punjab but is doing better in single screens and mass areas.
Hero is still doing similar to Heropanti which had a 6.5 Crore opening and a 21 Crore weekend and went on to do 50 Crores but released in early part of 2015 which is a weak period for releases.
Hero however is facing competition from holdover release Welcome back and will also face competition from a wide release Katti Batti in coming weeks.
Salman Khan’s promotion and the hit song had ensured that Hero gets a start but its all about the weekdays that matter.
Hero is doing better at single screens than on multiplexes but the release has been done targeting more multiplex screens than single screens. Also on single screens it faces competition with welcome back.
Still a 20 Crore weekend which looks likely for a movie starring newcomers and is such a low cost one is pretty good. A Crore first weekend will put it amongst top bollywood 15 movies of 2015.
Hero had an opening which was the second highest ever opening for a movie starring newcomers after Student of The Year
For Hero Friday is 13th highest opening day of 2015 and bigger than movies like Drishyam, Bombay Velvet and Piku.
