Ugly Box Office Collection
Ugly had a first day box office collection of Rs 41 lakhs at Indian box Office. (Trade figure).
50% of this number has come from Mumbai and Delhi only
Ugly was released in roughly 300 screens pan India concentrated in metros multiplexes.
A lot of circuits had no release at all for Ugly.
Ugly was released without any promotions and was not really expected to do well
Ugly only got an audience in multiplexes due to Anurag Kashyap’s brand name.
As per Anurag Kashyap Ugly has cost only Rs 4.5 Crore to make and cost around 1 crores more for P&A (Prints +Advertising)
Anurag was expecting a 1.5 Crores opening but Ugly failed to do even that.
Ugly was last choice at the box office this week behind PK, Night at the museum and Lingaa (hindi dub) who all did better than Ugly
