As expected Gunday has the second best opening of 2014 behind Jai Ho with collections close to trade expectations.
Gunday has opened in 2800 screens
Both multiplexes and single screens have been good though across multiplexes collections were also higher due to Valentine Day.
Gunday had a great opening day with bumper collections across North India and Central India where the collections of the movie were more than that of Ram Leela.
However Mumbai and South India has been slow and collections here seem to be lower than Ram Leela.
It will be interesting to see if the movie sustains itself and gets to 100 crore or not
