10 Ml Love Movie Review

Ratings:2.5/5 Review By: Renuka Vyavahare Site:TimesofIndia(TOI)

While the short duration, makes the film, a pleasant watch; lack of back-stories, makes it a tad abrupt in parts. There are no dull moments in the film but nothing uniquely memorable either, except for the ‘love potion track’ which makes a late entry in the film. While initial portions of the film and dialogues fail to evoke laughter, it’s the climax which sort of makes up for the loss. It is delightful and unpredictable. If it wasn’t for the half-baked characters, the film wouldn’t be as forgetful. 10ml love is a short, lighthearted film. It’s a decent watch, provided you don’t expect great humour.

What’s Good: The witty comedy; some of the love stories. What’s Bad: The lack of depth in the stories; the blurry camerawork. Loo Break: None. Watch or Not?: Watch it if you’re in the mood for a light-hearted rom-com. For a funny, witty rom-com, 10ml Love makes a nice watch with enjoyable characters. But the film has too little too soon.

The climax, arguably the most memorable part of the play, here ends up very poorly indeed. ‘Tis a shame the film’s makers decided, bizarrely, to stop adapting. And yet, despite the cardinal sin of cocking up that most glorious of climaxes, 10 ml Love has enough to offer for a good time. It isn’t a well-shot, crisply edited, intelligently staged piece of cinema, but is warmly enough made to allow the legendary play to shine through. Actors like Chopra, Manu Rishi Chadha, Brijendra Kala and Kapoor (who even unexpectedly manages a poignant theatrical outburst at the end) make the film work, and Katariya, despite the film’s obvious and numerous warts, does throw in much to smile at, and even to love

10ml love doesn’t fail to surprise you despite it’s abundant drama. Loosely inspired by A Midsummer Night’s Dream, whether the film lives up to the famed play is questionable but one thing is for certain, it’s plot is irresistible!. 10ml love has an old school theatre feel to it and that is where it’s appeal lies. At a time when I almost lost faith in romantic comedies, 10ml love restored my faith in them. This movie is realistic, entertaining, romantic, deliciously hilariously. How many films can manage that feat? Verdict: Restore your faith in Rom-coms. Abundant drama, luring plot & endless giggling!
