Heroine Music Review

Ratings:3/5 Reviewer:Joginder Tuteja Site:Bollywood Hungama

Music of Heroine is as per expectations. Though one can’t expect a soundtrack a la Fashion to be repeated film after film, need of the hour was to have a couple of songs that had it in them to cover a good distance with others fitting in well for the situation. In that aspect Salim-Sulaiman do the job well along with the assortment of lyricists who ensure that this 20 minute soundtrack adds the narrative of this Madhur Bhandarkar film well.OUR PICK(S): Halkat Jawani, Tujhpe Fida, Main Heroine Hoon

With 5 tracks on offer, the Heroine soundtrack has some tracks to savour, but it does feel like a letdown. Heroine is not a bad album, but after being such a hyped movie, one would hope that the music would be just as outstanding. And that too, by Salim and Sulaiman who need a major boost after the average Jodi Breakers. With a mixed bag of songs that partly work, Heroine’s major song ‘Halkat Jawani’ has already ensured some success with the audience, but in general the album feels a tad unmemorable.

There are five tracks in the album that have been penned by Niranjan Iyengar. The album kicks off with in bang as “Halkat jawani” Next up is “Saaiyaan”, a heart wrenching melody. Last but definitely not the least is “Tujhpe fida”, crooned by Benny Dayal. A good number to shake a leg. Thus, despite just five tracks, the “Heroine” soundtrack composed in Bollywood style is a total “paisa vasool” album that has all the filmy elements and moods to satiate your musical appetite. Just go for it.

HEROINE delivers no major “hero-ics” but offers a decent musical entertainment for the listeners. Salim-Suleiman fail to repeat the magic of FASHION , but still deliver some engaging and entertaining situational tracks. “Halkat Jawaani”, the most appealing massy tracks ensures its place in charts while “Saiyaan” and “Khwahishien” are good quality works that are going to be favorites among niche listeners. As per its super-hype and promotions, the album underperforms to an extent, but still it will be the content that will be biggest USP to entertain; a promising run at the box-office will surely be a big boost to the album’s prospects
