What’s particularly offensive about this film is that it wants to be taken seriously while addressing s**ual harassment and gender politics. Now that’s too much to ask!I’m not prudish and there is such a thing as a smart s**ual farce, but there’s nothing even remotely smart about this film. It’s tiring and not very funny in the end. For that I’m going with one out of five for director Manoj Tiwari‘s Hello Darling. It’s the kind of film that makes you squirm in your seat.

S**ual harassment at the workplace, anyone? Then please stay away from this film which reduces a serious issue to a total farce. The film maker makes a buffoon not only of the randy boss, Jaaved Jaaferi, he also transforms the harried women into bimbettes. Hello Darling, how about a bit of IQ too…After all comedy is serious (read intelligent) business too!

HELLO DARLING also tries to tickle your funny bone, but in vain. Frankly, the story of a s** pervert and three alluring ladies could’ve resulted in one naughty film. HELLO DARLING uses every trick in the book [skin show, generous dose of double entendres et al] to make you laugh, but barring a scene or two, the effort falls flat on its face.Final word? This film is a joke in the name of comedy!

The film is like a badly cooked stew where the writers were so busy tossing different ingredients into the pot they never really had time or the inclination to think about what their concoction would ultimately turn into.Hello Darling needs to be avoided at all costs. Unless of course gnashing your teeth and wasting your money on mindless, tedious comedy is your favourite hobby.

It is supposed to be a comedy on the burning topic of s**ual harassment at the work place. But the tragedy is that the so-called comedy fails to evoke laughter or even a smile.Manoj Tiwari makes a pitiable debut as director. After all, he is unable to raise any laughter, chuckle or smile. Pritam seems to be out of form because the songs are far from engaging. On the whole, Hello Darling will bid the box-office ’bye in no time. As for those associated with the film, they’ll have to say “hello” to failure.

It is pitched as a s** comedy. But it offers neither. Hello Darling, directed by debutant Manoj Tiwari, is the kind of film that is a veritable test of the viewer’s patience.Does Hello Darling have any saving grace? Banish the thought. Even the usually entertaining Javed Jaffrey is reduced to a drab drone. Hello Darling is spectacularly hollow – it is screen comedy’s equivalent of hell. Go there only if you are a sucker for self-flagellation.
