Jannat 2 Music Review

Ratings:4/5 Reviewer:Joginder Tuteja Site: Bollywood Hungama

Jannat 2 is a terrific album which has practically each and every song working for it. A genre album which has love forming an integral part of the affairs, it ensures that each of the songs complement each other in a seamless manner. What is also special about this Pritam soundtrack is the fact that unlike a conventional album that has a love song, a sad number, a theme track, a ‘bhangra’ dance number and an item song being assembled (which time and again only makes the album a jerky outing), Jannat 2 is as seamless as it gets. When an album ends up winning as a whole instead of just one song walking away with all the honours, it is only further reason to rejoice because it establishes that the overall soundtrack has been appreciated.OUR PICK(S) Tu Hi Mera, Tera Deedar Hua (From the Heart), Tujhe Sochta Hoon, Rab Ka Shukrana, Jannatein Kahan

JANNAT 2 delivers entertainment, entertainment and entertainment for all rock and sufi music lovers, and should probably add one more musical success in the connoisseur’s kitty. To cut a long story short, this album will be among top10 bestsellers and is by far the best Pritam album of this year. The most brilliant feature of the album is that it never derails from its path and delivers it what it promises with no traces of mediocrity. Going by the present trends and choices, “Tu Hi Mera” , “Tera Deedar Hua (from the heart)”, “Rab ka Shukrana” and “Jannatein Kahan (power ballad)” are likely to be chartbusters in the weeks to come. In Bhatt camp flicks, music has always been a pivotal factor and this positive trend continues with this impressive album, promising a healthy box-office run, and off-course a healthy shelf-life. Worth-a-buy!!!

Despite slick action and stunning scenes – bullets ramming underwater into a sunlit stream, a violet flower-bush before a cop-car – Tezz loses speed often. Here’s possibly why – director Priyadarshan’s oeuvre is putting characters in desperate situations and watching them respond. It works beautifully in comedies – but Tezz needs relentless pushing, not frequent stops pondering over the unfairness of citizenship. You can’t run fast carrying heavy baggage – that’s why Tezz huffs and puffs a little too much.

Every time an Emraan Hashmi film is releasing there are great expectations as far as the music is concerned. Once again this film does not fail to disappoint you. The music of Jannat 2 is a delight for music lovers. Soft, gentle and soul stirring music this one will once again be the top of the charts for a long time. Pritam Chakraborty is at his best again has managed to create magic with lyricist Sayeed Quadri. It will be a hit like all Emran Hashmi’s numbers. Pritam though repetitive at times has definitely worked out on a great album.
