Ishaqzaade Music Review

Amit Trivedi comes up with yet another fantastic score and breaks the existing norms while further consolidating his own identity into the musical scene. Doing consistently well over the years, he hits the right notes with Ishaqzaade as well where the most significant aspect of his compositions is the fact that it bears his stamp more than anyone else. With Kausar Munir’s lyrics further setting the stage for him, he comes up with a soundtrack which may surprise listeners to begin with (due to its unusual flavour) but should eventually find acceptance in due course of time. OUR PICK(S) Aafton Ke Parindey, Jhalla Wallah, Pareshaan

To sum up things, ISHAQZAADE is a vivaciously tuneful musical album, and brings together many emotional musical shades. Amit Trivedi, one of the most talented composers of B-town, justifies his mettle again, and lives up to the expectations. The USP of the album is that it has no loose ends or traces of mediocrity in it. Soundtracks like “Pareshan”, “Jhalla Wallah” and “Aafaton Ke Parinde” are sure to catch up fast with the masses, and will be making it big in the weeks to come. Newbie Shalmali Kholgade’s singing (“Pareshan”), and Kausar Munir’s cheerfully written lyrics too deserve a special mention. Overall the album delivers a satisfying listening experience and should add one more success to both the producer and composer’s credits.

“Ishaqzaade” may not have too much on the platter with just five original tracks but it still manages to strike a chord with the listener. The album is definitely worth a shot.

Amit Trivedi has done a brilliant job with this soundtrack and completely hooked us with his subversions of the typical desi, romantic, and item numbers that are included on this soundtrack. None of these songs sounds typical, which sets it apart from its promotional purposes. Amit Trivedi is definitely one of the best composers around and he proves his detractors wrong with this soundtrack that stays true to his style and shows his versatility. It is easily the best soundtrack of this year so far
