Agent Vinod Music Review

Let’s state the fact here – Agent Vinod may not have turned out to be an ultimate entertaining experience that one would have hoped for. Still, it has its moments where one does feel that if only could have gone an extra distance, it may have been memorable. Still, despite not really the kind of soundtrack that one would remember six months down the line, it is still good enough to ensure that it helps the film’s narrative. Songs like ‘I’ll Do The Talking Tonight’, ‘Dil Mera Muft Ka’ and ‘Pungi’, though not extraordinary, keep up the pace while the theme track is an absolute killer. As for the one that may stay on long, there is ‘Raabta’ that one can play on a repeat mode and feel content.OUR PICK(S)Raabta (Siyaah Raatein), Agent Vinod – Theme, Dil Mera Muft Ka (remix)

On the musical front, AGENT VINOD may not be as gargantuan as one expects from its hi-profile and aggressive hype, but still delivers sufficient packs of entertainment. Light-hearted melody ‘‘Raabta” (all versions) impresses the most while reasonably good tracks like ‘‘I’ll do the Talking”, ”Pungi” and ”Dil Mera Muft Ka” will be alluring young listeners. It will be really interesting to view all these tracks being accommodated in this high racy action-packed thriller, as now Indian audiences haven’t tasted much of internationally styled spy-espionage. An impressive theatrical run will sure be of great help in lifting the spirits of its audio sales.

We heard it all and liked it all! The album of Agent Vinod is a nice compilation of five original tracks. It’s good that no extra songs were thrust in the album. Pritam with his hit track record has once again done it. The songs I’ll Do The Talking and Pungi are clear winners while Raabta is for the romantic souls. Now, we would let music do the talking!

‘Pungi’ definitely stands out like a sore thumb in the list of quite impressive tracks, but is closely followed by ‘I’ll Do The Talking Tonight’, which although is an notable remake, doesn’t live up to the others. Agent Vinod may be an album of reprises and remixes but Pritam for once gets the reprises right because every version of ‘Raabta’ warrants a list. If you’re a serious music lover you’ll appreciate each of the versions as they have their own unique beauty but for others the various reprises of the same track may be just the reason they won’t spend their hard earned money on the album.

Rarely does a soundtrack manage to achieve such little novelty for a seemingly prodigious action-spy-thriller premise. Agent Vinod essentially has five tracks, three of which boast a remix version each and the fourth one, believe it before you faint, has four near-facsimile versions. The effortlessly catchy Pungi is a runaway hit mainly for its spunk and mischievous lyrics. However, like many Pritam tracks, this one’s closet too stores some skeletons.
