Kabali Two Weeks Worldwide Box Office Collection
Rajnikanth’s Kabali has become a huge success in Tamil version and has repaid its distributors with strong numbers in Tamil version which ran in Tamil Nadu, Karna, and Kerala.
However Kabali is average in Hindi version and will lose some money for Fox Star.
In telugu version kabali is a disaster losing lot of money
Kabali had a huge opening due to three language release but it fell sharply once the weekend ended and had a very low second weekend .
Kabali will end below the lifetime total of Rajnikanth’s endhiran ( robo) which had a total of 195 Crore nett.

Telugu version
Telugu version is headed to do 35 Crores lifetime but it should have done more than 50 Crores just to breakeven.
Some people in media are reporting 600 crore number for worldwide collection which shows their lack of understanding of box office since they have added all the pre release business of 200 Crores with branding business and worldwide gross to reach this number.
Pre release business is all the money producers make as they have sold the rights to distributors and all the box office receipts will go to distributors who will share an overflow if decided to producers
Tax Rates Difference
For Kabali in Tamil nadu nett and gross numbers are same because of no tax for tamil movies
For Karnataka, Kerala , Andhra, Telangana tax rate is also much lower than that of rest of India so a tamil or a telugu movie should not be compared in nett numbers directly with a hindi movie which faces tax rate of more than 30% in many states hitting a peak of 65% in Uttar Pradesh.

For Hindi Belt Fox Star India has the rights for Rs 15.5 crore and will release in 1000 screens.
Karnataka rights have been sold to Rockline Venkatesh for Rs 12 crore
In Kerala all rights are with Mohanlal’s Maxlab for Rs 10 crore
For Andhra & Telangana all rights have been sold to Abhishek Pictures for Rs 32 crore
For Tamil Nadu all rights are with Jazz Cinemas for Rs 60 crore
Satellite & Audio Rights have been sold for Rs 40 crore
Overseas – Rs 35 crore (Malaysia & Singapore – Rs 12 crore, USA & Canada – Rs 8.5 crore, others- 14.5 crore)
Kabali Hit or Flop
Kabali should do a business of 200 Crores to be called a hit.
Kabali should do more than 35 Crores to be called a hit in Hindi belt.
