Our Brand Is Crisis Movie Review

Our Brand Is Crisis will inspire you with dialogues like, “If you don’t like the road you’re on, start paving another one”, by Sandra Bullock’s character. It is an entertaining and humorous portrayal of the political tactics undertaken during an election, and the extremes to which politicians will go to win it.

Though predominantly a political satire, Our Brand Is Crisis also deals with finding and forgiving oneself. It attempts to analyse the conflict that stems from the principles that one must sacrifice to meet professional demands, where deception is the key. In the end Wazir is moody and atmospheric, and gripping for a large part. What it needed was a tighter script with fewer holes. I’m going with two-and-half out of five.
