Yes, it's an ordeal to have guests at home, more so when they have annoying habits and show no signs of leaving. Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge? starring Ajay Devgn and Konkona Sen Sharma was a laugh riot. But Paresh Rawal in 'Guest Iin London' doesn't offer anything new. With few comic elements to boast of, the film struggles to keep the audience hooked. Its use of toilet humour - a scene has Rawal describing the sorry state of affairs in India by correlating it to his farts — may leave you puzzled rather than in splits.

More than the sequel, Guest Iin London is a copy of 2010 film Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge? by the same director. Just that this time the action has shifted from Mumbai to London. You won’t find actors like Ajay Devgn and Konkona Sensharma in the new film, but Paresh Rawal, as the nerve-wrecking guest, tries to fill for the missing big names. One more thing, what seemed like a fine balance of comedy and slice of life in the original is completely absent here. In fact, it’s so lame that you would find the tobacco ads more entertaining than watching Paresh Rawal farting for at least hundred times.

Yet another twist is Ajay Devgn's entry, but find out more about that when you watch the film, if you dare to.If only Ashwini Dhir had more Paresh Rawal-Sanjay Mishra scenes it would have been much more of a comedy that the filmmaker wanted to make.

Every line, every scene gives you an impression that it was written by an ill-informed man-child who primarily believes in three things: farting is funny, women belong in the kitchen and all Pakistanis are thieves. 90 per cent of the jokes from the movie can be classified under one of those three categories. The funniest thing about this comedy is just how angry it can make you. Guest iin London, like its titular protagonist, is a burden no one should have to bear.

It’s a khichdi of a film which leads nowhere. It tries to be funny but it is not, it tries to get people’s sympathy but fails there too, it tries to get serious and then again funny— the audience is super bored meanwhile. Better to avoid these guests. One star for this.

The film’s cinematography (Sudhir K. Chaudhary) is decent. On the other hand, the film’s editing (Manan Sagar) is terrible. The film could have been cut short by a good 15-20 minutes!.On the whole, GUEST IIN LONDON is a test on the sense and the sensibilities of the viewers. Loaded with fart jokes, which are passed on in the name of comedy, this film will struggle at the Box-Office.The film’s cinematography (Sudhir K. Chaudhary) is decent.
