Dil Dhadakne Do First Day (Friday) Box Office Collection: Second Highest of 2015

Dil Dhadakne Do had a very good first day at India Box Office

Check Saturday Collections here

First Day Collections:
10.04 Crore  (Trade Figure)
10.53 Crore (Studio Figure)

This is second Highest opening day collections of 2015 behind Gabbar is back.

The collections are best of year in Multiplexes but mass areas and single screens are not as good and collections in those areas are lower than Roy and Tanu Weds Manu Returns

The box office collections are very lopsided and top 5-6 cities contributed to most of the collections

Delhi/NCR and Mumbai City were the best regions for the movie.

Rajasthan, MP,Bihar were the worst performers.

Top Opening Days  2015( Trade Figure)
Gabbar : 12.27 Crore
Roy :9.27 Crore
Tanu Weds Manu Returns: 8.64 Crore

This multi starrer featuring Farhan, Ranveer, Priyanka and Anushka was a huge success in metros and its the metro multiplexes who given the movie a good total.

A Good Opening day has given the movie a good chance  but it needs a big jump on Saturday and Sunday to make the most of the weekend.

Screens:
2300 Pan India

Budget:
86 Crore ( 70 Crore Production Cost + 16 Crore Prints and advertising)

With shooting on a cruise ship and having multiple stars the costs went high for Dil Dhadakne Do

The Biggest problem for Dil Dhadakne Do is its huge cost as it needs to sustain for a long period of time to breakeven.

  2. Its not a great opening considering the fact that it has all big stars in it. Tanu Weds Manu Returns is a much bigger opener than this one only on the basis of Kangana alone single handedly pulling it off...
