Rajeev Masand is an Indian film critic and entertainment reporter for CNN-IBN. Rajeev Masand has been reporting on the glitz and glamour of Bollywood and the wide world of entertainment for over a decade now. On May 26 2011 he was nominated as a member of censor board.Today the best-known link to Bollywood and the media, Rajeev starting off at 16 was one of the youngest entertainment correspondents. Since then, he has reported on a wide range of subjects in entertainment – from the emerging "new cinema" movement of the late 90's to the underworld-Bollywood nexus - and has consistently reviewed weekly releases at the Box Office. Rajeev joined STAR News as Special Correspondent in January 2003 and hosted the show - Masand ki Pasand.
On December 30, 2005, Masand moved to CNN-IBN where he is currently the network film critic and runs an ongoing video reviews series on their website, Masand's Verdict and this is where he has garnered immense popularity to become one of top reviewers in the country. He also became the host of the channels entertainment series, To Catch a Star.
Personal Preferences:
He considers the opportunity of interviewing Hollywood legend and filmmaker Manoj Night Shyamalan as one of his most memorable assignments to date. He rates Edward Norton as his favourite actor and Khamoshi by Sanjay Leela Bhansali as his favourite film.

  11. Every reviewer has a choice and selected actor or actress and they view of point some time they giving worst movie also good rating like RA-1 and House full 2. but i like rajive masand critics if you want good movie review read rajive masand. thanks

  12. Rajiv You are an asshole,,, U should be born in Taliban bcoz U donot like anything... IBN is such a good network & u are a blot on it.... U cannot even make a good commercial for TV & U use slangs for Hindi Film Industry...

    1. Do you have any supporting arguments for your opinions ?

      Reviewing a movie & making a commercial for TV are two different things altogether.A reviewer needn't be a movie/commercial producer. Remember a reviewer represents the audience , not the production house.

      For me, most of his reviews have been to the point & very useful. Though no reviewer can see everything you see & vice versa, Masand is by far the most reliable reviewer for Bollywood movies.
      Keep it up Masand, unlike the herds of reviewers who apparently are "sold" to production houses, you've stood firm for the standard of movies.
